Supporting communities with Holiday Giving at Robert Half

Corporate Culture Research and insights Inside Robert Half Article
The end of year marks Robert Half’s annual Holiday Giving program, a heartfelt initiative and collective effort from our employees in North America since 2006. Projects typically range from toy, food and clothing drives to bike-building events and adopt-a-family programs. To date, we’ve collected more than 150,000 toys and games for children in need.  During this year’s holiday season, Robert Half Canada is focusing our fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada (RHMC), and other non-profits in our local communities such as: The Stop Community Food Centre, Trellis Society, United Way, Surrey Food Bank, and Greater Vancouver Food Bank.  In Canada, 65 per cent of families live outside a city with a children's hospital. So, if a child gets sick, they have to travel for treatment. In 2023, the 16 Ronald McDonald Houses and 18 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms across Canada helped more than 26,000 families stay close to their sick child and the care they need.  RMHC’s 34 programs provide families with a sick child a home where they can sleep, share meals, do laundry, and connect with other families going through similar challenges, making their journey to recovery a little easier.
To help meet the needs of our communities during this holiday season, Robert Half has created a Round the World Challenge for our employees to give back through volunteering.   This annual initiative provides Robert Half employees around the world, a meaningful opportunity to support Make-A-Wish International by allowing them to volunteer in their local communities. All employee volunteer hours will transfer to a $15 per hour donation from Robert Half to Make A Wish.  During the last quarter of 2023, all our teams across Canada participate in local fundraisers at our offices and at local programs across our cities.
