User Interface (UI) Designer Job Description

The UI designer decides how a product or website is laid out and creates wireframes. This professional works closely with UX and other designers to ensure every touchpoint that users encounter in their interaction with a product conforms to the overall vision created by the UX designers. Software skills needed for this role may be extensive and include MockFlow, Balsamiq, Axure RP, Framer X, and ProtoPie for prototyping; Photoshop and Illustrator for editing or creating still images; Adobe After Effects and Sketch for creating animated images and text; and Principle for designing interactive user interfaces. Knowledge of front-end development and basic coding skills is a plus.
